Sizzla, Miguel Orlando Collins, was born on the 17th day of April, 1976 in St. Mary, Jamaica. He began singing on Caveman International and was spotted by the internationally acclaimed saxophonist Dean Fraser. They recorded some songs before Dean brought the talented youth to the attention of Xterminator head, Phillip 'Fatis' Burrell. Since then, Sizzla has proven himself as a force to be reckoned with. In 1997, Sizzla recorded the number one album of the year "Black Woman & Child" for producer Bobby "Digital" Dixon. Before that he had previously recorded the album "Praise He Jah" for producer Phillip "Fattis" Burrel on the "Exterminator" label. Since then he has been recording hits after hits and His album "Da Real Thing" has made plenty of waves this year. Because of his continuity and versatility he has gained recognition throughout the world
